Alexa Gavrilov, LCSW, PMH-C

Alexa is a licensed therapist and certified perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C) who is passionate about supporting women through all stages of life. She specializes in eating disorders, body image, and perinatal mental health, with a focus on helping women heal from shame and break free from the shame cycle.

Alexa’s approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a strengths-based, client-centered framework. She integrates reflective listening, empathic care, and a Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned perspective to create a safe, inclusive space for healing.

With specialized training in eating disorders, she helps clients repair their relationship with food and their bodies. As a PMH-C, Alexa offers dedicated support to women in the perinatal period—helping them navigate the emotional, physical, and psychological transition from pregnancy to motherhood. She understands the unique challenges this time can bring, including identity shifts, body image concerns, mood changes, and the pressure to “do it all,” especially for those with a history of disordered eating, anxiety, or self-doubt.

Alexa also has a special passion for supporting moms with ADHD, recognizing the added overwhelm, executive functioning challenges, and emotional intensity that can come with both motherhood and neurodivergence. She works to help these mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves.

In addition, Alexa works with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. She is dedicated to helping her clients build self-awareness, foster self-worth, and feel more connected to themselves and their needs, so they can move forward with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
